3rd year educator

I was born July 24th, 1993 in Middle Tennessee. Middle Tennessee is where I have lived all my life. In my younger years I was the son of an educator/coach and a banker. I was also an older brother by 18 months. Later on I gained an older step-brother and a step-sister the same age as me. Growing up I developed several interests; including, Tennessee Walking Horses, fishing, basketball, football, hockey, and politics. One of my favorite memories from high school was playing on the 5A state championship Central Lions football team. My first job at 17 as a feed boy at TSC sparked my interest in agriculture, that was when I decided I wanted to go to college for agriculture. After doing some duel enrollment classes as a junior and senior in high school I decided to go to Columbia State Community College full-time and obtain my A.S. After that, I went on to Middle Tennessee State University where I majored in agribusiness and minored in political science. I would go on to do a research project with a professor over the legality of UAV's and I spent my last semester of college interning full-time at the state legislature during the 109th General Assembly. I graduated in May of 2016 with my B.S. in agribusiness. The summer after was spent working at the state department of tourism before pursuing a career as an educator and coach. I'm now in my third year of teaching agriculture and coaching football. While not every day is a good one, I am constantly reminded how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to share something I'm passionate about with others. I never saw myself becoming a teacher... it's funny how life works out sometimes.
